You must be among the many other people who have been dieting since a while, keeping a check on what you eat and still not managing to lose weight. Or you manage to lose weight in between but it reappears in sometime. No matter what you must have faced, it all boils down to simple facts.

The facts are the factors that are responsible to doom your diet. As you read along you would notice why your weight loss diet plan is not reaping the expected results.

 

Reasons on the failure of your diet plan:

 

  • Giving in your cravings: Most people on diet often say that a chocolate ties them down and forces them to eat. Thing about it rationally, you will know that it is all in the mind. No foodstuff whether your favorite chocolate bar or a pizza can force you to eat. The power lies in your head and hand. So, learn to say no to food…don’t let followed by the cravings.

 

  • You can’t diet forever: So, you feel heavy one day and decide to follow a diet plan. Few months later, you feel you have shed the extra weight and hence you go off the diet plan. Subsequently, you again find yourself on the heavier side. Why so, the answer is obvious. If you follow such a pattern you are most likely to regain all the lost weight. Hence, the best way out is to eat well and eat right. Strike a balance. Obviously, dieting does not involve starving the body. You can prepare a healthy dieting plan and be in shape as long as you follow it.

 

  • Right and wrong food: Like most dieters, you must be having some conception in your mind as to good food and bad food. However, this is a wrong thing to follow. Food is food; it can be salty, fatty, sweet, high fiber, low fat, high protein etc. The key lies in striking the right balance and not depriving the body of some essential nutrients. For instance, you may think egg would increase your cholesterol and calorie intake and shun away from your diet. This way you are depriving your body of the proteins you get from it. The same goes for dairy products.  

 

  • Losing weight without exercise is impossible: This is also a common belief among dieters. However, it is difficult to lose weight without exercise, it is not impossible. For this, you have to follow a controlled diet. However, once you are off the diet, the weight is certainly going to come back. Hence, make sure to exercise on a regular basis. It is not only good for weight loss but also for overall fitness. Even a 10 minutes brisk walking in the morning can do wonders in getting you back in shape.

 

All fats are bad: Untrue. There are fats that are healthy for a human body. For instance, seeds and nuts, they contain good oils. Hence, you should not avoid them completely. Eat them in moderation. Moreover, you should switch your food oils at regular intervals.
