Healthy habits keep obesity at bay

She was a leading ramp model, led a very successful life and had many famous designers opting for her to showcase their creations. She was at the peak of her career and things look really bright for near future. She was hardworking and sincere in her profession. In spite of the cut throat competition in her field, she was able to carve a niche for herself and created a place of her own under the sun. Success, fame and money were always with her. Off late, she was looking pale and exhausted. Initially it was thought that the reason was her work which is taking its toll on her body. She was suggested to take rest for some time. She did that, but in vain. Once she started  her work again, things worsened. Initially for some time she looked refreshed, but sometime later she was again the same. Finally she visited the doctor. After examining her and rounds of several medical check-ups, it was determined that she had symptoms of eating disorders. Even though she was undergoing regular exercise routine, she thought of accompanying it with rigorous diet control to maintain weight. She was not eating required amount of food. She did so in the fear of gaining weight and eventually losing out on the contracts she had. This fear and her steps to overcome that fear have led her to malnutrition and weakness. Her body had become weak and immune system had gone for a toss. She was susceptible to illnesses. She was directed to the nutritionist and psycho therapist as well. They guided her to take in right food, at right intervals. Yoga was advised to her for better mind control and more positive approach. Her mind was reformed to understand the importance of eating right food instead of skipping it.

In the world of style we get to see many such incidents, but with help of doctors and therapists today there is a higher rate of eating disorder success stories rather than failures. The people are cautious about their looks and presentation; they need to be guided in the right direction to strike the balance of eating right and exercising to burn out the excess calories. A healthy body has healthy and more productive mind. This equation should always be bore in mind. Starving the body is not the key to lose weight, but burning out calories by doing small things like climbing steps instead of taking lift, walking short distances etc. These small things help us in longer run.
